I know you have a Harpswell connection based on comments you made at a lunchtime presentation you made at Highland Green in Topsham some time ago. And now I see the Cribstone bridge photo so you must have been back recently. (We all lamented the passing of Bookland in Cooks corner that day at Highland Green). But if you get to Harpswell you should try the Blackbird Cafe, opposite The Vegetable Corner (Rt. 123 and Moutain Road). Excellant, inexpensive, and made with care. Lunch soups/chowders are great, sandwiches are tops. Keep up the good work with your blog–we follow it. Jeff Nelson

Thanks for the tip, Jeff. I saw Blackbird, but it wasn’t open when I came through. Guess I’ll have to return.
