Saving Ocean Wood

Marian Barker, executive director of Saving Ocean Wood, asked me to post this info and video link about the Saving Ocean Wood Trust, which aims to preserve and protect a 150-acre property on the Schoodic Peninsula. The property includes the former Ocean Wood campground and a privately owned compound parcel, in Birch Harbor. If you want to know more, email Barker at

One Response to “Saving Ocean Wood”

We were shocked when we got the postcard. We have been going to Ocean wood since 1989. We have missed 2 seasons and wouldn’t you know it, the summer of 2009 we were not able to make it due to family illness.

I hate to say this but we have been out of the loop, we need to know what we can do to help! What is the plan? Are you trying to keep it as a campground or what?

We need to keep our little piece of paradise!
